Frank Hamilton, Harry Stirling, Ben Gittus Smith and Denis Bradulin went to a quality Head hosted by Monmouth Rowing Club. In the morning division they all joined forces in a IM1 Quad and impressed onlookers, winning their category in style, beating a strong Bewdley boat in the process.

Then in the afternoon division team mates became competitors as Harry and Frank took on Ben and Denis (as well as three other crews) in the IM1 doubles. Youngsters Harry and Frank managed to hold off Ben and Denis to win by just one second, the Stratford boats again leading all other opposition to win the catagory.

Thanks go out to host club for lending the boys a boat to row in after theirs suffered a broken rigger just minutes before getting on the water.

A great medal haul – 22 for Stratford and 15 for the KES crews on this 2.5km course.

SuABC has two NEW Satellite Indoor Rowing Clubs – one in Kineton and the other in Alcester.

If you are aged 11 and 24 they give you the chance to learn the ultimate sport, have fun, get fit and hang out with your friends.

Supervised by a qualified rowing coach, you will learn how to row on machines, take part in fun indoor rowing competitions and enjoy the physical and mental challenge of rowing.

Well done to everyone who competed at Evesham.  There were only a small number of clubs taking part but it was a case of quality over quantity.  There were, frustratingly for the crews, 3 second placings but Isaac Herring of our J15 squad won his single and won the double with Conrad Bird, so well done to both of them.  There was also a win for the J18 crew from KES.

Stiff competition at the Worcester Sprint Regatta on Saturday!  The standard was definitely higher than previous years with strong crews from several clubs including AB Severn, Stourport and Worcester themselves.  Nevertheless, there was some very exciting racing and some great performances, so well done to all our crews.  With at least 7 races lost in finals, our 3 wins on the day could so easily have been a much larger tally.
