We are a small but enthusiastic squad, encompassing a range from first year novices to experienced Henley winners.
We recognise that rowing needs to fit in with life, family and work, and that everyone has different goals. The training plan aims to cater for the very serious and not quite so serious among the membership, allowing the individual to decide just how much of the schedule they commit to.
We go out on the water on weekend mornings all year round; these outings are organised so that you will know when and with whom you will be rowing.
During the summer months, we try to get as many water sessions as possible in preparation for the regatta season; the most frequently attended are Monday and Thursday evenings, as well as weekend mornings. We also attend regular land based training sessions of circuits, ergos and weight training. This training schedule varies between summer and winter – more time on the water in the Summer, more land training during those dark cold winter months.
