The safety of our members, especially Juniors, is our priority. Launches play a critical role and we urgently need more drivers.
Could you be one of them? Training involves eight hours of hands-on experience on our two launches and a full day’s training, including a practical exam, with the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) in Bristol, leading to a RYA Level 2 qualification. The cost is from £110 if three SuABC members or more take part.
We ask you pay the fee yourself but give you a full refund after you have driven a launch for six months. It is not physically arduous and open to any member over eighteen, including parents. And it is a fabulous way of getting on the river.
